Malminkartano station to open on 7 September

Trains will resume serving Malminkartano station on Monday, 7 September. Only one track will be in use at the station until early October. As a result, I and P trains will run every 20 minutes between Helsinki and Myyrmäki from 7 September to 4 October. From 7 September, bus route 41A will no longer serve Malminkartano.

Service changes in Malminkartano from Monday 7 September

  • Trains will use only one track at Malminkartano from 7 September to 4 October 2026
    • Trains will use platform 1 at Malminkartano.
    • I and P trains will run every 20 minutes between Helsinki, Huopalahti and Myyrmäki.
    • I and P trains will run every 10 minutes between Helsinki,Tikkurila, Helsinki Airport and Myyrmäki. Every other I train will terminate at Myyrmäki and return towards Helsinki Airport.
    • At Myyrmäki, there will be changes to train departure platforms. Check the station displays for up-to-date information.
  • Bus route 41A will stop serving Malminkartano from 7 September.
  • Bus route 37 will be rerouted to run via Naapuripellontie from 7 September.

The service changes are due to renovation works at Malminkartano, Kannelmäki and Pohjois-Haaga stations carried out by Metropolitan Area Transport Ltd. The renovations will make the stations and their surroundings more functional, safer, more accessible and more pleasant.
