The elevator at Tuomarila station is now in operation, providing step-free access to the platform area.
Train services resumed at Tuomarila station on 5 October. The station reopened after a complete renovation, with changes including the replacement of the side platforms with an island platform and corresponding changes to platform access. The platform numbering also changed, and trains now use platforms 3 and 4.
Due to the station’s location, the gap between the platform and the train is wider than usual. Please take this into account, especially if traveling in a wheelchair or with a pram. A ramp is available at the doors in the middle of the train and can be deployed by pressing the wheelchair button next to the doors. More information about accessibility on trains is available on HSL’s accessibility pages.
As part of the Espoo Rail Line project, Tuomarila, Kilo, Kera, Kauniainen and Koivuhovi stations have been renovated. All the stations are accessible. The renovations were done with the needs of wheelchair users and visually impaired people in mind. More information about the Espoo Rail Line project is available on the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency’s website (vayla.fi).
