North Helsinki Route Network Plan

Welcome to the North Helsinki Route Network Plan page! The aim of the plan is to update the route network in response to changes in travel needs, land use and HSL’s strategic goals. Our goal is to achieve savings in the operating costs of bus services and allocate services more effectively to the routes and areas with the highest demand. The plan will be developed using extensive customer insight, travel data and information on the area’s future development.

1st blog: Planning of the North Helsinki route network has begun

We have now moved from reviewing baseline data and drawing conclusions to drafting the first version of the route network.

The draft is developed using extensive existing customer insight. To complement this information, we will conduct a survey of residents and public transport users in the planning area. We will keep you informed about opportunities to participate and have your say.
