Tram routes 1 and 8 will resume their normal routes on Monday 4 October. The trams have diverted due to street works. Replacement bus 8X will be withdrawn. The timetables of all tram routes will change.
Tram 1 to resume its normal route
Tram 1 will resume its normal route from Eira via Lasipalatsi, Töölö and Helsinginkatu to Sörnäinen and Käpylä.
The route and stops of tram 1 from 4 October in the Journey Planner:
Eira – Lasipalatsi – Töölö – Ooppera – Sörnäinen (M) – Käpylä
Käpylä – Sörnäinen (M) – Ooppera – Töölö – Lasipalatsi – Eira
The tram will no longer serve the stops along the diversion route: "Rautatieasema" (H0301 and H0302), "Kaisaniemenkatu" (H0303 and H0304), "Kaisaniemenpuisto" (H0305 and H0306), "Hakaniemi" (H0251 and H0252), "Kallion virastotalo" (H0253 and H0254), "Karhupuisto" (H0255 and H0256) and "Kaarlenkatu" (H0257).
Tram 8 to resume its normal route
Tram 8 will resume its normal route from Jätkäsaari via Helsinginkatu to Sörnäinen and Arabia.

Jätkäsaari – Töölö – Ooppera – Sörnäinen (M) – Arabia
Arabia – Sörnäinen (M) – Ooppera – Töölö – Jätkäsaari
The tram will no longer serve the "Ooppera" stops (H0107 and H0108) on Mannerheimintie. The tram will serve the "Ooppera" stops (H0241/H0242) on Helsinginkatu.
Replacement bus 8x to be withdrawn
Replacement bus 8X from the Opera (Mäntymäki) via Sörnäinen to Arabia will be withdrawn. The last day of operation will be Sunday 3 October.
On Friday 1 October and Saturday 2 October, bus 8X will be on a diversion near at the Opera end of the route due to a running event.
"Urheilutalo" stop permanently moved
The "Urheilutalo" stop on Helsinginkatu in the direction of Sörnäinen has permanently moved to the other side of the Läntinen Brahenkatu junction, in front of Työväenopisto. The new stop number is H0278.
The works are not yet completed near the Urheilutalo stops. For example, some temporary access routes to the stops are still in place and some stop shelters are missing.
The timetables of all tram routes will change
With the exception of tram route 5 serving the Katajanokka termina, the timetables of all tram routes will change on Monday 4 October. The new timetables are already available in the Journey Planner, timetables in PDF format on the Printable timetables page.
