A train services will be suspended from 1 June to 9 August 2026. There will be no train services at Valimo, Pitäjänmäki and Mäkkylä stations. Buses will run as usual, providing replacement services. Up-to-date bus timetables and routes are available in the Journey Planner.
Trains will run between Leppävaara and Helsinki throughout the summer. E and U trains will run as usual from 1 June to 21 June and from 27 July to 9 August. The trains will also stop at Ilmala. L trains will be replaced by U trains. Train services west of Leppävaara will be suspended from 22 June to 26 July. During this time, X trains will operate between Helsinki and Leppävaara every 15 minutes. The trains will stop at Pasila, Ilmala and Huopalahti.
Train services at Valimo, Pitäjänmäki and Mäkkylä stations will be suspended due to repair work on the railway bridge over Hämeenlinnanväylä between Huopalahti and Ilmala stations.
Bus services will operate as usual
During the train service disruptions, bus services will operate as usual, providing replacement services for trains. For up-to-date information on bus routes and timetables, see the Journey Planner.
- Trunk bus 200 runs via Pitäjänmäki and Mäkkylä stations to Helsinki and via Leppävaara to Espoon keskus, up to every 10 minutes.
- Light rail line 15 provides a connection from Pitäjänmäki via Leppävaara to Keilaniemi and via Huopalahti all the way to Itäkeskus.
- Trunk bus 30 runs from Pitäjänmäki and Valimo to Myyrmäki and Helsinki city center.
- Bus 59 provides a connection from Pitäjänmäki and Valimo via Pasila to Herttoniemi.
Other changes to commuter train services in the summer
There will also be other changes to commuter train services in the capital region in summer 2026. Malminkartano, Kannelmäki and Pohjois-Haaga stations will undergo renovation and train services will be suspended between Huopalahti and Myyrmäki. In addition, renovations of Puistola and Tapanila stations will affect main line services.

Other train service changes in summer 2026
- 3 May–6 September: Malminkartano station will be closed, and there will be no train services at the station
- 1 June–9 August: I and P trains will not run between Helsinki and Myyrmäki; Malminkartano, Kannelmäki and Pohjois-Haaga stations will be closed
- 1 June–9 August: I, P and K trains will operate a reduced service. I trains towards Helsinki Airport will not stop at Pukinmäki, Malmi, Tapanila and Puistola stations.
- 22 June–26 July: Trains will not run west of Leppävaara due to the construction of the Espoo Rail Line. There will be no train services between Leppävaara and Siuntio.
