Reduced I, P and K train service from 1 June to 9 August – I trains not stopping at Pukinmäki, Malmi, Tapanila and Puistola stations

I, P and K trains will operate a reduced service from Monday, 1 June. In addition, I trains toward Helsinki Airport will not stop at Pukinmäki, Malmi, Tapanila and Puistola stations. These stations will only be served by K trains. These service changes are due to the renovation of Tapanila and Puistola stations carried out by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The works will continue until August.

I trains will not stop at Pukinmäki, Malmi, Tapanila and Puistola stations between 1 June and 9 August 2026 due to the renovation and track work at Tapanila and Puistola stations conducted by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. In addition, I, P and K trains will operate a reduced service, running every 20 minutes. The works will also cause changes to train departure platforms at Tapanila and Puistola stations and may affect access routes to the platforms. 

K and P trains will stop at Pukinmäki, Malmi, Tapanila and Puistola stations as usual, and the stations and nearby areas will also be served by regular bus services. I and P train services will also be affected by other works carried out on the Ring Rail Line over the summer. Up-to-date routes and timetables are available in the Journey Planner.
 

How trains will operate on the Ring Rail Line between 1 June and 9 August

  • I, P and K trains will operate a reduced service, running every 20 minutes
  • I trains will not stop at Pukinmäki, Malmi, Tapanila and Puistola stations
  • I and P trains will terminate at and depart from Myyrmäki 
  • Trains will not run between Huopalahti and Myyrmäki

Bus services will operate as usual 

During the train service changes, bus services will operate as usual and provide replacement services for the affected train services. Up-to-date bus route and timetable information is available in the Journey Planner.

 

Other changes to commuter train services in the summer

There will also be several other changes to commuter train services in the capital region in summer 2026. Malminkartano, Kannelmäki and Pohjois‑Haaga stations will undergo major refurbishment, and train services between Huopalahti and Myyrmäki will be suspended. In addition, train services on the Coastal Line between Leppävaara and Siuntio will be affected by work on the Espoo Rail Line carried out by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency.

Other changes to commuter train services in summer 2026 

  • Between 3 May and 6 September, Malminkartano station will be closed, and there will be no train services at the station.
  • Between 1 June and 9 August, I and P trains will not run between Helsinki and Myyrmäki and Malminkartano, Kannelmäki and Pohjois-Haaga stations will be closed.
  • Between 1 June and 9 August, A trains will not operate. Valimo, Pitäjänmäki and Mäkkylä stations will be closed.
  • Between 22 June and 26 July, there will be no train service west of  Leppävaara. Trains will not run between Leppävaara and Siuntio.
