Diversion route of tram 4, Katajanokka – Pikku Huopalahti, 13 June to 19 June
Tram route 4 will be diverted between Monday 13 June and Sunday 19 June. The tram will not run between Töölöntulli and Munkkiniemi. The tram will run from Töölöntulli to Pikku Huopalahti to the terminus of tram 10. Replacement bus 4X will run from Postitalo via Töölöntulli to Munkkiniemi.
Tram 4 will not serve the following stops:
“Töölön tulli” (H0113 and H0114) on Tukholmankatu. The stops on Mannerheimintie (H0133 and H0134) will be served.
“Meilahden sairaala” (H0115 and H0116, Meilahti Hospital)
“Meilahdentie” (H0117 and H0118)
“Paciuksenkaari” (H0119 and H0120)
“Munkkiniemen puistotie” (H0121 and H0122)
“Laajalahden aukio” (H0123 and H0124)
“Tiilimäki” (H0125 and H0126)
and the terminus, “Saunalahdentie” (H0127)
Tram 4 will serve the stops for tram 10 along the diversion route to Pikku Huopalahti.

Replacement bus 4X, Postitalo – Munkkiniemi
Replacement bus 4X will take the following route to Munkkiniemi: Postikatu – Kaivokatu – Mannerheimintie – Tukholmankatu – Paciuksenkatu – Munkkiniemen puistotie – Laajalahdentie – Saunalahdentie.
The bus will depart from the the bus stop next tothe Sokos Department Store, H2038 (bay 55). A good place to get on bus 4X in the city center is the “Lasipalatsi” stop on Mannerheimintie in front of Sokos (bay 53, H1903). From there, the bus will continue along Mannerheimintie. The “Ooppera” stop (H1999) is a good interchange for those going to Munkkiniemi. Another good interchange is “Töölöntulli” (H1379) on Tukholmankatu. Trunk bus route 500 also runs from Töölöntulli to Munkkiniemen puistotie.
The bus will use the same route from Munkkiniemi to the city center. From Mannerheimintie, the bus goes straight to the terminus on Postikatu. Passengers can change to tram at Töölöntulli or at Postitalo/Lasipalatsi. Passengers going from Munkkiniemi to Töölöntulli can also use trunk bus route 500. “Meilahden sairaala” (Meilahti Hospital, H1381) on Tukholmankatu

Background to the arrangement
The arrangement is due to the construction of a new turnaround loop at the junction of Tukholmankatu and Haartmaninkatu.
Other changes to tram services over the summer
Various construction projects will affect tram services in summer 2022. The diversion routes of trams 1, 2 and 7 will change on 13 June. Replacement bus 2X will start and the route of replacement bus 8X will change. Tram 8 will not run until 14 August (link to a separate release)
