Tram services to switch to autumn timetables and tram 1 to resume operation on 11 August

Tram services will switch to autumn timetables on Monday 11 August. Trams 1 and 8T will resume operation and trams 1T and 8T will only run on weekends. Additionally, all trams will run more frequently.

Tram 1 will resume operating between Pohjolanaukio and Eira starting Monday, 11 August. The “Eiran sairaala” (H0449 and H0445), “Perämiehenkatu” (H0444 and H0445) and “Telakkakatu” (H0446) stops will be reinstated. Tram 1 will operate on weekdays and tram 1T on weekends.

Tram 8 will resume operating between Arabianranta and Jätkäsaari starting Monday, 11 August. Tram 8T, which has been operating between Arabianranta and West Terminal daily, will operate only on Saturdays and Sundays.   

With the switch to autumn timetables, tram services will run more frequently.

The next changes to tram services will take effect on 8 September, when trams 2, 4 and 10 will resume running along Mannerheimitie. At the same time, the route of tram 3 will be shortened and the tram will run to Kuusitie instead of Pikku Huopalahti. Read more in a separate service update.  

Tram diversions continue in Hakaniemi  

The construction of the Kruunusillat tramway continues is Hakaniemi. There will be no changes to tram services in Hakaniemi in August. Trams 6B, 7B and 9B run to Hakaniemi from the direction of Sörnäinen and Kallio. Trams 6T, 7T and 9T operate south of Hakaniemi. Passengers are advised to use the Metro or buses for journeys between the city center and Hakaniemi. More information is available in a service update published in the spring.
