Public transport fleet quality controls
We assess the condition and cleanliness of public transport vehicles operating on the services we procure through quality controls. We use the results for vehicle maintenance and to determine quality incentives paid to operators and penalties imposed on them.

About 8,000 inspections annually
We carry out around 8,000 inspections each year on buses, trams, light rail vehicles, Metro cars and train units. The number of observations depends on the size of the fleet and the number of services.
Data is collected through field observations, for example by assessing the condition and cleanliness of seats, the cleanliness of walls and handrails, and the functioning of stop announcements and information displays.
Observations are recorded in a system that forwards information on quality deviations directly to the operator responsible for the vehicles.
