Ongoing studies
We study the travel habits of HSL area residents
We study the use of different modes of transport through a continuous travel survey. Respondents are invited to take part in the survey at random, and participants record all journeys they make during the survey day in a travel diary.
We survey customer satisfaction
We conduct Customer satisfaction surveys to measure passenger satisfaction with HSL area bus, tram, Metro and commuter train services.
We monitor the quality of public transport vehicles
We control the quality of buses, trams, light rail vehicles, Metro cars and train carriages used for the services we procure. Public transport fleet quality control is conducted by observing the condition and cleanliness of vehicles.
Net Promoter Score (NPS) and customer experience measurement
Through our year-round customer survey, we gather customers’ views and opinions on our services and their development, as well as their willingness to recommend public transport services to others. The survey is conducted as an online questionnaire sent by email.
We participate in an international survey
We take part in the international BEST (Benchmarking in European Service of Public Transport) survey, which compares residents’ satisfaction with public transport in member cities across Europe. The survey is conducted year-round through online panels and telephone interviews.
