Activate Bike Parking on your Android device

Yes, starting 10 June you must be registered for the HSL Bike Parking Service to access to the Bicycle Garages and park your bike there.

Please check which version of the HSL app you have. To register via the HSL app or to add the HSL Bike Parking identifier to Google Wallet, you must have at least version 6.8.0 of the app. We released the version update on 21 May, but the availability of updates may vary. It usually takes about a week for the update to be available to everyone. We recommend enabling automatic updates to ensure your HSL app is always current.

Yes, you can. If you are logged into the same Google account on multiple devices, Google Wallet will show the HSL Bike Parking identifier on all of them. If you use a different Google account, you will need to add the HSL Bike Parking identifier to that Google account on the HSL app.

You do not need to re-register for the Bike Parking service. You can easily add the HSL Bike Parking identifier back to your digital wallet. Just go to the settings, select ‘Bike Parking,’ and choose the option to add the identifier to Google Wallet.

You can strongly authenticate at HSL and municipal service points. Please note that you cannot register for the HSL Bike Parking service at a service point. You must register for the service either on our website, hsl.fi/en/bike-parking, or on the HSL app.

If you want to use your Android device to access the Bicycle Garages and add the HSL Bike Parking identifier to your Google Wallet, you need to download the HSL app. However, if you're unable to use the app, you can activate the Bike Parking service with your HSL card. This allows you to access the Bicycle Garages using your card and a PIN code. For detailed instructions, please visit hsl.fi/en/bike-parking/hsl-card.

You can register as a user of the Bike Parking service. However, you cannot access the Bike Garages with your phone. Currently, access with a phone is only available for Android devices that have the HSL Bike Parking identifier added to Google Wallet. We aim to enable iOS users to access the Bike Garages with their phones as soon as possible.
