Bike Parking Service
As a registered user of the Bike Parking service, you can park your bike in the Bicycle Garages maintained by HSL's partners. Currently, the Kaisantunneli Bicycle Garage in Helsinki is the only facility in use. The Bicycle Garage is a secure and monitored space designed for Bike & Ride parking of bicycles.
Activate the service and add an identifier of your choice, which will serve as your key to access the Bicycle Garage. You can use the HSL Bike Parking Identifier, which can be added to the Google Wallet on Android devices, or you can use your HSL card along with a PIN code.
How to use Bike Parking and Bicycle Garages
- The Bicycle Garages are available for all HSL’s customers registered as users of the HSL Bike Parking service.
- You can use the garages for free, no valid HSL ticket is required.
- To register for the HSL Bike Parking service, you need an HSL account, and you must have strongly authenticated and approved the Terms of Use of HSL Bike Parking. Additionally, you need to add an identifier in the service, which will serve as your key to access the Bicycle Garage.
- The identifier can be either your HSL card and PIN code or the HSL Bike Parking identifier, which can be added to Google Wallet for Android devices.
- To enter using your HSL card, simply show your card and enter your PIN code at the door.
- To enter with your Android device, take your phone close to the reader at the door. If necessary, unlock your phone's screen so the reader can detect Google Wallet and locate the HSL Bike Parking identifier.
Kaisantunneli Bicycle Garage
Currently, the only bicycle garage in operation is the Kaisantunneli Bicycle Garage, which is owned by the Metropolitan Area Transport Ltd. At Kaisantunneli, you can also use services provided by the Bicycle Garage, such as a bike washing station. The garage also houses Helsingin Pyörähuolto.
